Международный совет футбольных ассоциаций (IFAB) утвердил на постоянной основе правило пяти замен во время матча. Решение было озвучено на пресс-конференции после заседания совета в Дохе.
«IFAB получил поддержку всего футбольного сообщества. Поэтому этот вариант на постоянной основе был включен в правила игры с сезона 2022/23», — заявили представители совета.
Увеличение числа замен с трех до пяти ввели в период пандемии COVID-19, чтобы снизить физическую нагрузку на футболистов, и это являлось временной мерой.
Для сокращения пауз останавливать игру для замен команды имеют право только по три раза за матч. Чтобы использовать все пять замен, новых игроков можно выпускать на поле в перерыве либо менять по несколько футболистов одновременно.
